Hello Lace and welcome to CollegeRadioCharts.com! Can you tell us a little bit about your band, Dirty Trick?
Dirty Trick is a female-fronted Cheap Trick tribute band. We hope people see it as a creative way to pay homage.
Why Cheap Trick?
Cheap Trick is an incredible band, very underrated. The vocalist, Robin Zander has a wide range of styles. There are so many great songs in their catalog!
How has the reception been as a female lead singer?
This is actually our first show! We’re getting ready to find out.
Have the band members played in any other groups?
Yes, everyone has played in bands before. It’s a really fun group of people.
How did you get your start as a musician? Who were some of your early musical influences?
I started playing in bands in college. It’s something I’ve always done. Johnette Napolitano is one of my earliest influences.
We have to ask…have you met the guys in Cheap Trick?
No, I haven’t. Maybe someday…
How did the pandemic impact you as a musician?
I didn’t play for a long time. I thought about selling my equipment but felt the spark again in 2022.
Can you tell us a little bit about the music scene in Georgia? Any favorite bands or venues you’d recommend?
I feel like I’m just getting back into it. Smith’s Olde Bar is a great smaller venue. I love to see bands at Chastain.
You have a show coming up on March 11th @ Live Wire Athens. What can fans expect at a Dirty Trick show?
A lot of energy! We love Cheap Trick and we want you to, too!
